FTP on Fedora 11 (setting up your FTP) and VNC

1. You must verify that SELinux Management is disable, you can enter in at menu : system-Administration-SELinux Management, fill that password. At menu System default Enforcing Mode change at disable. Chek it Relable on next reboot, and then File-quit (Ctrl+Q)
2. Verify that your port FTP at firewall can allow to access, enter in menu, System-administration-Firewall. At Trusted Service, check box is ticked FTP, and go to Other Ports menu, add ports 21 and 22. Push apply.
3. At /etc/vsftpd/ open user_list, add user who can allow this FTP and save with CTRL+X press Y.
4. At /etc/vsftpd/ open vsftpd.conf and edit more several statements, unmark # :
anonymous_enable=YES
local_enable=YES
write_enable=YES
anon_upload_enable=YES
anon_mkdir_write_enable=YES
and change number of local_umask=022 with local_umask=770
and change userlist_enable=YES with userlist_enable=NO
Save these settings with CTRL+X.
5. Do this statement at comment line terminal: chkconfig on, when your server reboot, this service of FTP will automatically start again.

VNC at FEDORA 11
VNC at FEDORA 11 using TigerVNC, it is a suite of VNC servers and clients that have a focus on performance and remote display functionality.
1. System-Preference-Remote Destop
2. At Sharing check box, ticked Allow Other users to control your destop
3. At Security check box, ticked Require the user to enter this password, fill your password. Push button close at bottom of window Remote Destop Preference.
4. Firewall, at menu System-administration-Firewall, at left menu other port push button add, to add port 5900 protocol tcp for service vnc-server and port 5900 protocol udp for service vnc-server, all of these for allow access to necessary ports or port ranges, only.
